About the Massage Therapist

Mission Statement

My mission is to help enhance the quality of life, increase peace of mind, strengthen the body, and inspire the soul to reach a higher state of wellbeing.

Hello, my name is Cindy Underwood. I have been a licensed massage therapist for 9+ years and a fitness & wellness coach for 3+ years. My specialties include deep tissue, sports massage, PNF stretching, passive/active stretching, Swedish massage, oncology massage, and certified prenatal massage. I’ve worked with acute and chronic conditions. I’ve given treatments for medical conditions, such as frozen shoulder, muscle sprains and strains, headaches & migraines, Insomnia, asthma, fibromyalgia, sciatica, rotator cuff syndrome, myofascial pain syndrome, scoliosis, kyphosis, sports injuries, and many other conditions. I’ve evaluated the client's soft tissue conditions, joint function, muscle strength, and range of motion.

Over the years as a massage therapist, I’ve seen many clients with repeat injuries. These injured areas have continued to irritate them for months or years leading to chronic pain and discomfort. Our focus is to treat the whole body, not just a specific area most painful to the person, rather we investigate what is happening in the tissue surrounding the painful sites. We observe posture and muscular imbalances and work on correcting these soft-tissue misalignments that are creating pain and dysfunction that you are feeling.

As a fitness & wellness coach, it is my goal to help clients who have been struggling with repeat injuries, who live sedentary lives or suffer from chronic pain and guide them through a functional movement exercise program to help prevent re-injury. As both a massage therapist and a fitness coach, I have been able to take the best of both worlds and combine them into one! Allowing me to create a customized session for each client’s needs and expectations for their therapeutic experience.
